Mog Battle: Free 1v1 AI Face Rating Battles

A mog battle is a 1v1 face rating match. Two players enter the same arena, the AI scans both faces, and the higher rating wins the round. On mogged.games the whole match runs in a browser: camera check, face scan, comparison, and an ELO update.

  • Live 1v1 comparison
  • ELO after every eligible battle
  • Global leaderboard

This guide explains the battle format, how it differs from a mog off, and what to expect from your first ranked match.

What is a mog battle?

Mogging is internet slang for looking better than someone in a direct comparison. A mog battle turns that idea into a structured game: two players, one face scan each, one AI comparison, one winner.

The battle is not a physical contest and it is not a vote. The same AI pipeline scores both faces, which keeps the result consistent across devices and opponents.

How a mog battle works

First, enable your camera and complete the live check. Second, the AI scans your face and builds a 0–10 rating. Third, the arena matches you with another player and compares the two scans. Fourth, the winner takes ELO and the loser drops.

Only a completed comparison moves the ladder. A failed camera check or an incomplete task is not counted as a loss.

  • Camera check confirms a live face.
  • Face scan builds the rating baseline.
  • The 1v1 comparison decides the winner.
  • ELO updates after the result.

Mog battle vs. mog off

The terms are close, but they emphasize different things. A mog off is the single head-to-head event. A mog battle is the same event inside the ranked arena, with ELO and a persistent rank.

If you want one quick comparison, call it a mog off. If you want a ladder, call it a mog battle.

How to start your first battle

Open the arena, sign in, and allow camera access. Complete the camera check, wait for the scan, and join the queue. When an opponent is ready, the comparison runs automatically.

Use soft front lighting and keep the camera at eye level. A clean, consistent setup produces a more useful baseline than a single perfect-looking shot.

Ranks and ELO

Every eligible battle moves your ELO. Beating a higher-ranked opponent is worth more; losing to a lower-ranked opponent costs more. The leaderboard shows the current standings.

Ranks run from Molecule at the bottom to Slayer at the top. The names are game flavor, not a scientific classification.

Frequently asked questions

Is a mog battle free?

You can create an account and explore mogged for free. Hosted battles use credits; current prices are on the pricing page.

Do I need a camera?

Yes. A live camera check is required for a ranked battle because the arena compares a live face.

How is the winner decided?

The AI compares the two face ratings; the higher rating wins and ELO moves after the battle.

Can I play on mobile?

Yes. Use the front camera and hold the phone at eye level for a cleaner scan.

What is the difference between a mog battle and a mog off?

A mog off is a single 1v1 event. A mog battle is the ranked version inside the ELO arena.
