Mog Arena: The 1v1 Face Rating Arena

The mog arena is the ranked home of mogged. Every 1v1 battle feeds the same ladder, and every player starts at the bottom. The arena is built for repeat play: the more matches you finish, the more clearly your rank reflects your baseline.

  • Eight rank tiers
  • Global ELO leaderboard
  • Every eligible match counts

This guide covers the arena structure, the ELO tiers, and the rules that keep the ladder meaningful.

Inside the arena

The arena is the match layer: camera check, face scan, opponent pairing, comparison, and ELO update. It is designed to feel like a competitive ladder rather than a one-off photo rating.

You can enter from the home page. The arena keeps your rank and history together so you can see how a session changed your position.

ELO tiers from Molecule to Slayer

The ladder has eight named tiers. The boundaries are intentionally simple so players can tell where they stand without studying a spreadsheet.

Tier names are game flavor. They are not a scientific classification and should not be used to judge another person's worth.

How matches move your rank

A win adds ELO; a loss subtracts it. The exact amount depends on the result and the rating gap. Beating a higher-ranked player is worth more, and losing to a lower-ranked player costs more.

Only eligible matches move the ladder. A failed camera check or an incomplete comparison does not count as a loss.

  • Win against a higher rank: largest gain.
  • Win against a lower rank: smaller gain.
  • Loss against a higher rank: smaller drop.
  • Loss against a lower rank: larger drop.

Arena rules

Use one live face, keep the camera on during the check, and let the AI compare the scans. No filters, no downloaded photos, and no second account to farm easier matches.

The arena is a game. Harassment, hate speech, and sharing another player's face without permission are against the rules.

The global leaderboard

The leaderboard shows the top ELO players and their tiers. It refreshes as matches settle, so a strong session can move you visibly.

If you are far from the top, use the leaderboard as a benchmark rather than a verdict. The gap between tiers is a measure of match history, not a measure of human value.
